Chrisantus was part of Yemi Tella's Golden Eaglets that won 2007 FIFA junior World Cup plus Silver Ball and Golden Boot with seven goals in the tournament.

Last season while at third division Spanish side Real Murcia, he proved his ability to hit the back of the net. He scored 8 times in 14 games as the club narrowly missed out on promotion to the second division and he'll be hoping to replicate the same form at HJK.

Speaking on the club website Nigerian striker said: ''Nice to come to the Club. The sun shines and is a good sign. I'm going to score a lot of goals."

HJK’s director of football, Juho Rantala heaped plaudits on the striker and is happy with his arrival at the club.

"Chrisantus is a very good striker who can play on the ground too. Macky has done good things in quite a lot of clubs and we believe that HJK is an environment in which he is able to develop further,” Rantala told the club’s official website.

“In this way, we get more competition and alternatives to our attacking department, and of course our team is already taking shape ahead of next season.

“In addition, Macky is a positive and cheerful person, which is always a good thing."

Chrisantus started his career with Hearts of Abuja before moving to Hamburger SV, Karlsruher SC, FSV Frankfurt, Las Palmas, Sivasspor, AEK Athens, Reus, Lamia and Real Murcia but HJK will become his tenth club.
